Using the Overlays
Overlays let you customize what you see on the map. You can turn on one or more overlays to view:
- Vehicles and employees
- Customers and jobs
- Traffic conditions
- Geofences

View Vehicles and Employees
To see both vehicles and employees on the map:
- Make sure Vehicle and Employee overlays are both checked.
- If the vehicle has a GPS tracking device, you’ll see its location next to the employee’s.
- Vehicles are tracked separately from employees.

View Customers and Jobs
- Turn on the Address Book overlay to see your customers on the map.
- Turn on the Jobs overlay to view scheduled jobs.
- Note: Only jobs scheduled in the Scheduler Timesheet will appear.
- Click on a customer or job icon to see more details.

Find Nearby Customers
To find customers near a specific employee or vehicle:
- Turn on the Employee or Vehicle overlay (or both).
- Then, turn on the Address Book overlay.
- The map will highlight customers closest to the selected employee or vehicle.
View Live Traffic
- Check the Traffic overlay to see current road conditions.
- Colored lines show live traffic flow and any construction or road closures (powered by Google Maps).
- This helps you plan faster and smarter routes for your team.
Tip: Use the Traffic overlay with employees and vehicles to see traffic in their area and avoid delays.

Combine Overlays
You can turn on multiple overlays at once to get a full picture on the map. For example:
- Jobs + Vehicles + Employees → See job locations along with the assigned team.
- Geofences + Address Book → See customer locations along with defined zones.
- Mix and match any overlays you need—they all work together.
