Using the Overlays
Use the overlays or a combination of overlays to view the map, vehicles and employees, customers and jobs a number of ways.
If the vehicle assigned to an employee has a GPS tracking device installed you can view its location next to the employee location on the map. Vehicles are tracked indepently of employees. Make sure that both the Vehicle and Employee overlays are checked.
View your customers and jobs on the map using the Address Book and Jobs Overlays respectively. Only jobs that have been scheduled in the scheduler timesheet can be viewed on the map.
Click on the job or customer icon and you’ll see the details.
With the field employee or the vehicle or both on the map, click on the Address Book overlay and you’ll see customers nearest them.
With the Traffic overlay ticked, you’ll see live traffic situations on the map wherein traffic conditions are represented by the colored lines. The overlay will check Google Maps and show you the congestion levels and any construction closures if any.
Static maps may tell you where to send technicians, but they fail to provide all the information necessary to make informed decisions. With traffic data overlaid in real-time, every dispatcher has the tools they need to adjust routes as necessary. The goal is fast, efficient, and on-time service for every customer.
Similar to the Address Book overlay, use the Traffic overlay with your vehicles and/or employees and you’ll see the traffic situation where they’re at.
Use the Jobs Overlay together with the Employees and Vehicles Overlays and you will be able to view all three.
By checking the Geofences and Address Book overlays, you can layer all customer addresses and geofences in your address book onto the map.
If you have other overlays checked (such as the job, employee and vehicle) You will be able to view all at the same time.
