Project Management Report

A project management report provides a clear and concise overview of a project’s progress, status, and key metrics, helping stakeholders stay informed, assess risks, and make informed decisions to ensure the project’s successful completion.

To access Project Management Report, click on the REPORTS Module> on the left-hand side and click on Projects > Project Management.

You can find in this report an overview of the project’s financial and resource allocations, including any over/under-utilization.

The Project Management Report has 7 columns:

  • Project Name – The project’s given name.
  • Project Number – The project’s assigned number.
  • Estimated Cost – Refers to the project’s total expense based on available data and assumptions. The total sum of all estimates associated with the project.
  • Job Cost – Job cost is calculated by adding up direct costs, such as labor, and materials associated with completing the project.
  • Revenue/Invoice – The total sum of all invoices (paid or unpaid) associated with the project.
  • Estimated Profit – Estimated profit is calculated by subtracting the total estimated costs of the project from the total revenue/invoice. This figure indicates the potential financial gain from the project before it is completed.
  • Actual Profit – Actual profit is calculated by subtracting the total job costs from the total revenue/invoice. This figure reflects the real financial gain or loss realized from the project after all expenses have been accounted for.

Generate Project Management Report

  1. Select Project –Name/s of the Project.
    • Click on Select Project 
    • You can choose to select a single project, multiple projects, or all projects.
  2. After selecting the project/s, click on Get Report.  

Once the report is generated, you will see an overview of the selected project’s financial and resource allocations, along with any over or under-utilization.

Drag and drop any column header to sort out the report.

After generating the report, you have the option to export the Project Management Report into Excel or PDF format by clicking on the Actions Button.

  • Export to PDF
  • Export to Excel
  • Configure Report Columns
  • Add to Favorites

Export Report

  • Click on export to Excel or export to PDF to download the report to your computer. Either way, you can completely see the details in the report.  

Configure Report Columns

Enable or disable the columns on this report if you want to see them or not. When disabling the column/s, once you generate this report that specific column will be removed.

Uncheck any columns you wish to exclude from the report and click SAVE after making your adjustments.

Add to Favorites

If you frequently use this report, you can select it and add it to Favorites.

Once you add a report to Favorites, a Favorites tab will appear at the top right of the left panel. All reports marked as favorites will be displayed in the top panel for easy access.
