Template Settings: Proposal Templates

Proposal templates make it easy to create and send estimates to your clients. IndusTrack comes with a default template, but you can customize it or create new ones to match different types of jobs or clients.

You can also add your company logo and adjust the design to match your branding.

Where to Find Proposal Templates

Go to:
Settings > Templates > Proposal Templates

What You’ll See on the Proposal Templates Page

This page shows a table with all your saved templates. You can:

  • Create new templates
  • Edit or copy existing ones
  • Set a template as the default
  • Delete templates you don’t need

Table Overview

The template list includes:

  • Name – The name you gave the template
  • Default – Shows “Yes” if it’s the default template for new estimates

What You Can Do (3-Dot Menu)

Next to each template, click the 3 dots to:

  • Edit – Change the template
  • Copy – Make a copy to use as a base for a new one
  • Delete – Remove the template
  • Set as Default – Make it the default template for new estimates

Sorting and Viewing Options

  • Sort by Name – Click the “Name” column to sort A–Z
  • Items Per Page – Choose to see 10, 25, 50, or 100 templates at a time
  • Navigation – Use “Previous” and “Next” to move between pages

Add or Delete a Template

At the top of the page, use:

  • Add New – To create a new template
  • Delete – To remove a selected template

You can set up a Proposal Template in two ways:

  • Start from scratch
  • Duplicate an existing template

Create a New Proposal Template

  1. Go to the Proposal Templates page.
  2. Click +Add New.
  3. Use the Proposal Template Builder to design your template (see more below).
  4. Click Save when you’re done. Your new template will appear in the list.

Using the Proposal Template Builder

  1. Template Name – Type in a name (max: 50 characters).
  2. Color Scheme – Pick a color theme. Default is white.
  3. Style – Choose a layout style: Classic (default), Modern, Fresh, or Bold.
  4. Preview – See live changes here as you edit.

Add or Edit Elements

You can turn each section on or off using a toggle switch. When off, they’ll be greyed out.

Header

  • Shows your company info: logo, address, email, etc.
  • Auto-fills client billing details and date info.
  • Choose header design from the style dropdown.

Proposal Body

  • Lists pricing details like parts, labor, equipment, and totals.
  • Choose display style: Full, Detailed, or Totals Only.
  • Use checkboxes to select which columns show.

About Us

  • Add company details with the text editor.
  • You can rename this section from the 3-dot menu.

Service Offer

  • Add descriptions of your services.
  • Rename the title if needed.

Terms and Conditions

  • Add your policies or legal terms here.
  • Rename the section as needed.

Signature

  • Fixed section for signatures. You can only change where it appears in the layout.

Page Break

  • Adds a page break where needed for printing.
  • Use Move Up, Move Down, or Remove from the 3-dot menu to rearrange.

Arrange the Order of Elements

  1. Open the 3-dot menu on any element.
  2. Click Move Up or Move Down to reorder.

Duplicate an Existing Proposal Template

  1. On the Proposal Templates page, find the one you want to copy.
  2. Click the 3-dot menu next to it and choose Copy.
  3. Open the copied version and click Edit.
  4. Change the name/title.
  5. Update the template content using the builder.
  6. Click Save. Your changes will show in the list.

Set a Default Proposal Template

  1. From the list, find the template to set as default.
  2. Click the 3-dot menu and select Set As Default.
  3. Only one template can be default at a time. Setting a new one will replace the current default.

Edit an Existing Template

  1. Find the template you want to change.
  2. Click the 3-dot menu and choose Edit.
  3. Make changes in the builder and click Save.

Note: Edits won’t change any past estimates that used this template—only new ones.

Delete a Proposal Template

⚠️ Use caution. Deleting a template can’t be undone and might affect related data.

  1. Find the template to delete.
  2. Tick the checkbox next to it, or use the 3-dot menu and select Delete.
  3. To delete multiple templates, tick all their checkboxes or the one in the header to select all.
  4. Click Delete, then confirm in the popup.
