Overview
If your business collects taxes, you can set up and manage tax rates in IndusTrack. Tax calculations vary depending on your location, so it’s important to configure them correctly.
Setting up tax rates early will save you time and ensure your reports are complete. You can always update or add more tax rates later.
If you have connected IndusTrack with QuickBooks, your tax rates from QuickBooks will sync automatically. However, these synced tax rates cannot be edited in IndusTrack.
How to Access the Tax Settings
- Go to Settings.
- Click Company Settings.
- Select Tax & Terms > Tax.

Understanding the Tax Table
The tax table displays all saved tax rates. You can view, create, edit, or delete tax rates from this page.
Tax Table Columns:
- Name – The name of the tax (e.g., Sales Tax, Payroll Tax, Income Tax).
- Tax Rate – The percentage rate for the tax.
- Actions Menu – Click the three-dot menu next to a tax item to edit or delete it.
Sorting and Navigation
- Click a column header to sort by tax name or rate.
- Choose how many tax items to display per page (10, 25, 50, or 100).
- Use the arrows to navigate between pages (if applicable).

Creating a Tax Rate
- Click the Actions button and select + Add New.
- Enter the following details:
- Name – Use an existing tax name or create your own.
- Tax Rate – Enter the percentage rate.
- Click Save to add the tax rate to the list.
Editing a Tax Rate
- Find the tax item in the list.
- Click the three-dot menu and select Edit.
- Update the details and click Save.
Deleting a Tax Rate
- Find the tax item in the list.
- Click the three-dot menu and select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deleting Multiple Tax Rates
- Select the checkboxes next to the tax rates you want to delete.
- Click the Actions button and choose Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
For deleting all tax items at once, check the box at the top of the Name column.
That’s it! Your tax setup is now streamlined and easy to manage in IndusTrack.
