Vehicle Alert Descriptions

When setting up a vehicle alert, you must choose an alert type. Based on the type, you may need to fill out additional fields to customize when the alert is triggered.

Idle

Get notified when a vehicle idles too long.

  • Time (Minutes): Set how many minutes the vehicle can stay idle before the alert is triggered.

Speed Under

Alert triggers when a vehicle moves too slowly for too long.

  • Speed (MPH): Minimum speed the vehicle should maintain. Always set a time allowance for this alert.
  • Time (Minutes): How long the vehicle must stay below this speed before alerting. Travelling below the minimum speed beyond this time will cause the alert to fire. Prevents unnecessary alerts for brief slowdowns.

Speed Over

Get notified if a vehicle is speeding for an extended time.

  • Speed (MPH): Maximum allowed speed. Always set a time allowance for this alert.
  • Time (Minutes): Time the vehicle is allowed to exceed this speed before triggering an alert. Travelling above the set maximum speed beyond this time will cause the alert to fire.
    • Tip: Set to 0 minutes if you want an alert every time the speed limit is exceeded.
