Vehicles
Your vehicles are a key part of your business. In IndusTrack, you can track their location, monitor activity, get alerts for maintenance and registration, and run performance reports. To do all this, make sure your vehicles and tracking devices are set up properly.
From the backend, Office Users create and manage Vehicle profiles depending on their permissions.
Access Vehicle Setup
To manage your vehicles:
- Go to Settings (Gear Icon) > Vehicle Tracking
This will open 5 sections:
- Vehicles
- Vehicle Groups
- Alerts
- Maintenance & Reminders
- Fuel Receipts
Vehicles Page
The Vehicles page shows all vehicles with an Active status by default. This is where you can:
- Add new vehicles
- View or edit existing vehicles
- Deactivate vehicles
Switching Views
To see Inactive vehicles (those that were deactivated):
- Click the Actions button
- Select View Inactive
To go back to the Active list:
- Click Actions > View Active
Understanding the Vehicles Table
Both Active and Inactive tables include these columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| ID | Unique vehicle ID code |
| Name | Name of the vehicle |
| Group(s) | Vehicle group(s) it belongs to. “Multiple” means it’s in more than one. |
| Device ID | Serial number (ESN) of the installed tracking device |
| Driver Name | Name of the field employee using the vehicle |
| Device Phone # | Phone number linked to the tracking device |
| Status | Shows if the vehicle is Active or Inactive |
- Action Button (3-dot menu)
- For the Active Vehicles table – Used to Edit or Deactivate a Vehicle or Set or Log Maintenance of the vehicles.
- For the Inactive Vehicles table – Used to Reactivate or Delete an Inactive Vehicle
How to Use the Table Features
Sort Columns
Click any column header to sort by that field.
Search / Filter
- Use the Filter Bar to search for specific vehicle details.
- Click Clear Filter to reset and show all vehicles again.
List Per Page
Choose how many vehicles to display per page: 25, 50, or 100. Use Previous and Next to navigate pages.
Actions Button Options
- On Active Vehicles Table:
- Add a new vehicle
- Deactivate a vehicle
- Go to the Inactive Vehicles table
- On Inactive Vehicles Table:
- Reactivate a vehicle
- Delete a vehicle
- Go back to the Active Vehicles table
