Assemblies
An Assembly is a group of services, inventory, and non-inventory items packaged together. You can use this to quickly add commonly used combinations or special promotions to your estimates and invoices.
Where to Find It
Go to Settings > Inventory > Inventory List.

Create a New Assembly
- Click the Actions button and choose + Add New Assembly.
- Fill in the required fields in the Assembly setup window:
Basic Info
- Name* – Enter a name for the assembly (e.g., HVAC Tune-Up Package).
- SKU – Enter a unique code for tracking.
- Configurable –
- Check this if the price will vary (e.g., based on job size).
- Leave it unchecked if the assembly has a fixed price.
- Non-Taxable –
- Check this if the assembly should not be taxed.
- Leave unchecked if tax applies.
Add Parts (Items)
- Use the Parts Name field to search and select items (inventory or non-inventory).
- Set the quantity for each item (defaults to 1).
- Click + Add Part for each additional item.
- Click the X to remove any item.
Add Services
- Use the Services Name field to search and select services.
- Set how many times the service will be performed (defaults to 1).
- Click + Add Service for each additional service.
- Click the X to remove a service.
Pricing & Description
- Sales Price/Rate – Enter the standard selling price.
(This field is hidden if the assembly is set to Configurable.) - Sales Description – Add a short description of what’s included.
Click Save when you’re done. The new assembly will now appear in the Inventory List.
Duplicate Assembly Warning
If you try to add an assembly with a name that already exists, this message will appear:

What the Options Mean:
- Yes – A new assembly will be created using the same name. This will result in multiple assemblies with identical names.
- No – The action will be canceled, and the duplicate assembly will not be added.
Edit an Existing Assembly
- In the Inventory List, click on the assembly to open it.
- Make your changes.
- Click Save.
⚠️ You can’t edit an inactive assembly. Reactivate it first.
Deactivate an Assembly
Use this if you no longer want to offer an assembly but don’t want to delete it.
- In the Inventory List, check the box next to the assembly.
- Click Actions > Make Inactive.
- Confirm the action in the pop-up window.
To deactivate multiple assemblies:
- Check all items you want to deactivate.
- Use the same Actions > Make Inactive steps.
Reactivate an Assembly
- Go to the Inactive Inventory List.
- Check the box next to the assembly.
- Click Actions > Make Active.
- Confirm the action in the pop-up window.
You can now update and use the assembly again.
Delete an Assembly
Only delete assemblies that are no longer needed. Be cautious, as deleting may affect past data or transactions.
- First, make sure the assembly is inactive.
- Go to the Inactive Inventory List.
- Check the box next to the item.
- Click Actions > Delete.
- Confirm the action in the pop-up window.
The item will be permanently removed from your inventory.
